Environmental protection by Public JSC “Novosibirsk Instrument-Making Plant” is a basis for achievement of stable growth for the sake of the present and future generations.

Public JSC “Novosibirsk Instrument-Making Plant” ensures environmental safety of the products and technological processes of their manufacturing by following national environmental laws and standards, international environmental standards and requirements, and also normative documents of the enterprise and client’s requirements.

There are two main directions in environmental policy of Public JSC “Novosibirsk Instrument-Making Plant”:

I Direction of Environmental Policy:

1. Forming of the environmental strategy while designing, technological and manufacturing realizing of projects of new and modernized optical devices, consumer goods.

2. Manufacture of products with minimal negative effect on the environment and meeting the national and international environmental requirements.

II Direction of Environmental Policy:

1. Enhancing of the environmental safety of the existing production; Reduction of emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere, water; reduction of the wastes formation during manufacturing:

1.1. Decrease in quantity of toxic and polluting materials used in the technological processes at the enterprise;

1.2.Exclusion of the toxic and polluting materials from technological processes.

3. Problem of the environmental protection is to be a part of the executive system of the enterprise’s economic activity.

4. Careful registration and classification of sources of influence on the environment, consumable resources, composition and volume of solid and liquid wastes, atmospheric emissions, are necessary conditions for developing of environmental activity of the enterprise, planning and realization of the programs and decisions intended for improving quality of the environmental safety of the products.

Size and importance of potential influence on the environment must be evaluated on the basis of analysis of all life-cycle stages of the manufactured products, including their manufacture, transporting, usage and disposal.

5. Application of the modern technologies, new scientific developments, knowledges and experience of the personnel of Public JSC “Novosibirsk Instrument-Making Plant” is a guaranty of more efficient usage of human labour, energy resources and raw materials, reduction of wastes and consumption while developing and manufacturing of the products.

6. No project of new building, extension, technical modernization must be accepted without affirmative conclusion of the state environmental impact assessment.

7. To train personnel of the enterprise in the system of environmental protection. To retrain personnel on a regular basis.

8. To improve environmental management system permanently, to reduce impact on the environment.

9. To provide possibility of disclosed demonstration of the environmental responsibility of the enterprise to any interested parties.

10. To develop successively system of own environmental standards of the enterprise. To summarize and popularize experience of environmental activity.

11. Importance of the environmental protection, solution of environmental problems, must be taken into account when cooperating with suppliers and customers.
